Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) is a limited-time benefit for low-income consumers that will show up as a credit on your bill for High-Speed Home Internet and could pay for computing device. The U.S. Congress and President established this benefit in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic emergency. EBB may be valid for 6 months.
Broadband is the technical term for access to the Internet. Both words are used and both mean access to the Internet.
Eligible Consumers Can Receive

- Up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal Lands

Make A Choice Before EBB Ends
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) will notify you about 30 days before EBB ends. This means EBB will NOT be applied to your next bill. You will need to choose to (1) continue with your existing service at market rate or (2) switch to the affordable Home Internet plan. If you do not make a choice the ISP will disconnect service at the end of the billing period. You can choose any company. ISPs cannot require a waiting period before changing your service when you are in the EBB Program. Make your choice before EBB ends.
