Now, as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reviews corporate consolidation proposals, all of us have a unique opportunity to do something about it by requiring merging companies such as Comcast and Time Warner Cable to provide affordable Internet for all low-income families.
More than 70,000 emails have already been sent to the FCC asking them to require Comcast to expand its $9.95 a month Internet Essentials program to include cheap Internet for low-income families as part of the conditions of the merger.
