Important Information for Educators

Help Your Students and Parents Stay Connected to School during COVID-19

We have a toolkit here with sample communications that you can distribute to district staff, school staff and parents to provide them with essential information about affordable home Internet service and low-cost devices.

  • What you need to know about low-cost, affordable Home Internet
  • Having an affordable home Internet connection is critical to stay informed and in contact with friends and family during the COVID-19 emergency. Several Internet Service Providers offer low-cost, affordable Home Internet for qualifying low-income households. For the most up-to-date information, we recommend visiting EveryoneOn.org/cetf

  • For a limited time, Comcast is offering 2-months of free Internet for households that are new subscribers and other conditions apply.  Comcast does not allow existing customers to downgrade their services.

  • Several companies, including AT&T, Charter/Spectrum, Comcast, Cox, Frontier, T-Mobile, and other ISPs have different policies on service termination, late fees, and data cap waivers.

How To Deploy Devices Immediately and COVID-19 Resources

The downloadable fliers below, in English and Spanish, are designed to distribute to your students, parents and school community to inform them of discount services for which they may qualify.  Some services may be free up to 60 days for new subscribers.  The free offers require that a K-12 or college student be a member of the household.  For the most up-to-date information, we recommend visiting EveryoneOn.org/cetf.

If you have questions or you would like us to customize the fliers and EveryoneOn.org information for your school district, contact Nadine.Hugg@cetfund.org.  Please let us know if your district is distributing this information.  This will help us track the impact of affordable Internet programs and demonstrate their importance.  Thank you for helping us close the Digital Divide.
